Wireless Mic Tips

To help ensure everything sounds great, please review these best practices

General microphone tips:

  • Hold the mic close to your mouth — about 1–2 inches away and slightly below your lips.

  • Project your voice, but don’t shout. The microphone will do the work.

  • Be aware of feedback zones — avoid standing directly in front or close to speakers with an active mic.

  • Hold the mic steady. Waving it or pulling it away while speaking will cause volume changes making it difficult to hear.

  • Avoid covering the mic with your hand or fingers — it can muffle the sound.

  • Enjoy yourself! A confident, relaxed delivery makes for a memorable moment.

Microphone etiquette

  • Wireless mics are expensive and sensitive to drops. Please treat them gently.

  • Please do not tap the mic or blow into it to test if it’s on. Danny will perform a sound check and ensure it’s ready for use.
