Skill and Intuition. Those are the 2 qualities that Danny Maika has that made his performance at our wedding so amazing. He's not your average "wedding singer". Danny is a skilled musical artist who can not only handle everyone from Dave Matthews to Marvin Gaye on his guitar and Bruddah IZ on his ukulele with impressive instrumental skill and vocals, he will even learn a couple of songs if you want him to so you can create that "special moment." What we loved about him the most is that he has a true gift for knowing what our guests would like to hear at certain times and performing an interpretation that they would most enjoy. At the same time his focus was never about making sure our event was all about him. You can't just hire anybody and get that. Months after our wedding, people are still asking us where in the world did we find Danny. If you want a really special and unique musician at your wedding or event that you will be proud of for years to come, hire Danny Maika. In our opinion he's the only way to go.

Danny brought a amazing dynamic to our wedding reception. His willingness to learn any song we asked him to sing was such a blessing and his delivery is magical. Our reception would not have been the same without "Somewhere over the rainbow" and "Overjoyed." Danny will go out of his way to make your wedding and reception the most memorable and romantic day he possibly can.

We had the opportunity to have Danny as our musician for our Launch Party last year. It was held at an intimate modern tea lounge in downtown Fullerton and we wanted a relaxed yet fun vibe for the night and he really set the mood. We received so many compliments for his music. Danny was very professional, down to earth and very easy to work with. We continue to recommend him for weddings and events and we'd jump on any opportunity to hear him play live.

If you are lucky enough in this life you will come across people who leave an impression on you. One friday afternoon someone came across me and made a big one. My son Andrew (aka P-nut) turned 8 in September. He has severe physical and mental disabilities, but his hearing is very well developed. After buying Danny's cd and listening to it in the car, I noticed that P-Nut responded very well to it. After a Hawaiian vacation, we were inspired to make a luau birthday party for P-Nut. I contacted Danny through facebook, and e-mailed him a little bio about P-nut and asked for an estimate. Even though he had another performance that night, he agreed to come and perform for P-nut and our closest friends! Needless to say, the party was a hit. Our guests were very excited when we gave them his cds as thank you cards. We are looking forward to future performances for my friends and family gatherings. He is a true artist and a gem.

Lee and I just got back from our honeymoon and i just wanted to drop you a line and thank you again for performing at our wedding two weeks ago. I also wanted to let you know that even two weeks later, you are STILL a huge hit and all of my parents friends are raving about you! my mom told me how you ran out of business cards to hand out? that is so awesome! they all live in LA and throw a lot of parties so they might be keeping you busy in the future! ;) anyway, thank you again. Lee and i think you are great. Please let us know when you are performing down here in OC so we can come support you!
I just wanted to send you a message to sincerely thank you for playing during our wedding ceremony. I cant say enough how professional and helpful you were throughout the whole process. We really struggled to come up with the songs and flow of the processional before we met with you. Your experience and insight were so evident during our first meeting. We're so happy we decided to put our faith in your decisions. Everyone really enjoyed the acoustic songs beforehand and when your voice came in during the bride's entrance it set the moment perfectly. We truly cant thank you enough for all you did to make our ceremony more than we could have ever imagined. We highly recommend you to any couple looking to have a talented and professional musician play at their wedding. We cant wait to hear you again!!

We wanted to THANK YOU so much for your participation in regards to our nuptials on April 18th, 2009.
I just wanted to say that the wedding march you suggested– “Somewhere over the Rainbow” played with your ukulele instrument at the Heritage Park was beautiful.
Our guests had a great time listening to your musical performances and professionalism you displayed at our reception at the Wind and Sea Restaurant in Dana Point. You assisted in keeping the event moving along and followed our itinerary perfectly. We had so many of our guest come up and ask for your references for their own events and that in itself was a compliment to us for picking you as our musical performer.
I would be happy to recommend you for weddings, parties, and other fun events.

To future wedding or special event host;
We’re writing on behalf of our friend Danny Maika. Danny recently performed at our wedding ceremony and reception in November 2008. We would definitely recommend booking Danny for your wedding or special event. His style is a classy, casual, and intimate blend of soothing folk, rock and love songs played on acoustic guitar and ukulele. He has a huge repertoire of great originals as well as some of our favorite music from Jack Johnson, Beatles, IZ, and Ben Harper. The day was beautiful and Danny was a hit at our beach themed wedding. He was very professional, fun, courteous and attentive to any song requests of ours and our guests. We hope you are as blessed as much as we were to have him perform at your special event…
